My trip also took me to the most beautiful places on the island: I explored the ancient temples of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, hiked through the picturesque tea plantations of Ella and relaxed on the beautiful beaches of Mirissa and Unawatuna. I encountered majestic elephants in the national parks and was enchanted by the hustle and bustle of the markets in Colombo.
